I developed a passion for oil painting while studying Restoration of oil painting at university. Learning about the evolution of the medium and practicing by creating exact copies of old oil paintings helped me appreciate the process.

I always knew I wanted to use this technique in the future, and when I finally started working on my first dog portrait in oil, I realized that it brought out the color and character of the subject in a way that no other medium could.
